Finance Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team on a part-time basis of circa 2.5 days a week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and improving our financial processes, overseeing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting alongside the day to day bookkeeping, payroll processing, accounts receivable and other tasks you would expect to do in a growing business.

This role is perfect for a proactive individual who can work independently to provide valuable insights to support business decisions and drive financial performance and process.

What you’ll do within our teams

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop, monitor, and review the financial budgets and forecasts. Provide strategic financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Present financial data to management, highlighting key insights and recommending actions.
  • Bookkeeping: Accurate and timely processing of payroll, day to day processing of payments for accounts payable and related reconciliations (this take up broadly 50% of your time).
  • Revenue Recognition: Accurate and timely processing of payroll, day to day processing of payments for accounts payable and related reconciliations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds for operational needs. Manage cash flow, forecasting, and funding requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards and implement internal controls.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the founders and teams to provide guidance on financial decisions, budget management, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Support various financial projects and provide expertise for initiatives as needed.

You will suit this role if you

  • Have a background in Accounting or Business Administration or a related field, ideally you’ll have an accounting qualification e.g. ACCA or equivalent
  •  Are self-motivated and proactive, with a high level of integrity.
  • Enjoy working independently and taking initiative is crucial, the role will be almost entirely remote.
  • Are proficient in financial software (e.g., Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Are adaptable to a dynamic work environment and balancing priorities.
